Objectives (course unit)
Student understands product marketing activities and the way how new product creation process works in customer oriented way.
Student understands sales and marketing related activities within industrial company.
Student understands new product development (NPD) and main activities capitalising on IoT, sustainability in global environment.
Student can participate and apply these skills to customer oriented value creation process.
Content (course unit)
A market-oriented product strategy and the importance of product development as a business success factor. Product development methods, organization, budgeting and results protection. Development of new product, productisation, product structure and product life cycle management as part of the product development process. Defining customer needs and managing requirements and marketing channels.
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2) (course unit)
The student recognizes the key concepts, functions and impressive volumes of industrial product development, sales and marketing. The student is aware of the laws governing the subject and performs the given tasks, if necessary assisted.
Assessment criteria, good (3-4) (course unit)
The student knows the laws, functions and quantities that control industrial product development, sales and marketing. The student performs independently of the given assignments.
Assessment criteria, excellent (5) (course unit)
The student is well versed in all aspects of industrial product development, sales and marketing and is able to apply his/her skills to various topics in the field.
