Teaching methods

The course will employ a variety of student-centred and practical teaching methods to develop both written and spoken English skills within ICT contexts:

- Task-based learning
Students complete authentic tasks such as preparing presentations, writing CVs, and simulating meetings, which reflect real-life ICT work situations.

- Pair and group work
Emphasis on interaction, role play, peer feedback, and collaborative learning to enhance spoken communication skills.

- Flipped classroom approach
Students review vocabulary, videos, or reading materials before class to allow more time for practical application and discussion during sessions.

- Project-based learning
Students complete mini-projects such as preparing a thesis abstract or a job application, with structured guidance and feedback.

Writing tasks: Structured writing activities guide students step-by-step in producing professional documents with increasing independence.

Learning materials

- Integrated use of digital tools
Tools like email, shared documents, and learning platforms (e.g. Moodle, Teams) support collaborative writing, feedback, and asynchronous practice.
