Objectives (course unit)

The student
- can instruct basic movement
- can instruct daily activities and using assistive devices
- can act as an instructor in different group settings
- can use clear and appropriate language in work and guidance
- can observe and describe the effect of group dynamics in physiotherapeutic groups
- can instruct breathing exercises
- can instruct relaxation exercises and notice the differences between relaxation and tension in another person and also in themselves
- can instruct balance exercises
- can adapt the basic techniques when massaging different parts of the human body
- strives to feel movements, breathing, relaxation and tension of their own body

Content (course unit)

Content:
- instruction of basic movements
- the assistive devices of movement and daily activity
- physiotherapeutic guidance
- physiotherapy in the swimming pool
- personal and clear ways to communicate
- choice of music in different uses
- breathing exercises for people of different ages
- relaxation exercises with different techniques
- balance exercises with different tools
- massage on different parts of the body

Further information (course unit)

The evaluation consists also the criteria of the clinical massage test. The evaluation is acknowledged / fail and the evaluation criteria are in this study module Moodle.

Assessment criteria, pass/fail (course unit)

Pass
The student is able to analyze and instruct basic movement of people of different ages in a clear and understandable way.
The student is able to instruct the movements in a group setting according to the principles of didactics of exercise using music.
The student is able to make conclusions about the selection and instruction of the appropriate aids for basic movement and daily activities.
The student is able to correctly apply the physiotherapy methods studied in the course module.
The student is able to give a clear speech with a proper subject matter.

Fail
The student is not able to analyze and instruct basic movement of people of different ages in a clear and understandable way.
The student is not able to instruct the movements in a group setting according to the principles of didactics of exercise using music.
The student is not able to make conclusions about the selection and instruction of the appropriate aids for basic movement and daily activities.
The student is not able to correctly apply the physiotherapy methods studied in the course module.
The student has not given a clear speech with a proper subject matter.
