Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2) (course unit)

The student
- has basic competence in the process containing systematic review method, but there is lack in his /her ability to apply the knowledge in his / her study
- has deficiencies to evaluate the credibility and trustworthiness of his/her study

Assessment criteria, good (3-4) (course unit)

The student
- has good competence in the process containing systematic review method and is able to apply the knowledge in his / her study
- is able to evaluate the credibility and trustworthiness of his/her study

Assessment criteria, excellent (5) (course unit)

The student
- has excellent competence in the process containing systematic review method and is able to apply the knowledge in his / her study
- is able to evaluate critically the credibility and trustworthiness of his/her study

Lectures, a course assignment on systematic literature review in small groups, work shops

Day 1
Introduction to the course and instructions to the course assignment
Introductory lecture to the systematic literature review
Preparing for the systematic literature review in small groups
Instructions on independent working in small groups between day 1 and day 2

Day 2
Introductory lecture to searching studies from databases
Database searching in small groups
Introductory lecture to the quality assessment of studies and to the analysis/synthesis of original data
Instructions on independent working in small groups between day 2 and day 3

Day 3
Seminar: students’ presentations of progress made in their course assignment
Lecture on the evaluation of systematic literature review

Further information

The course will be carried out as classroom teaching at TAMK. If there will be any changes in Covid-19 situation causing restrictions, all changes will be informed to the students.
