Objectives (course unit)

Student
- can explain atom structure, periodic system and chemical bond formation
- can write formulas for chemical compounds, name inorganic compounds and write reaction equations
- knows the concept of mole and applies it to chemical calculations
- can explain the importance of chemical equilibrium in the course of reactions and knows the factors that influence equilibrium
- understands the concept of acid / base and pH and can apply them in practical work

Content (course unit)

- atomic structure and cyclic system, chemical bonds, formulas and nomenclature of inorganic compounds
- writing reaction equations, mole concept, chemical calculations
- oxidation and reduction
- chemical balance
- acids and bases
- pH concept and buffer solutions; exercises

Prerequisites (course unit)

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2) (course unit)

The student passes the exam (exams). Restores required tasks almost in time and partially correctly resolved.

Assessment criteria, good (3-4) (course unit)

Exam value (s) H3 - H4 levels, participate in classroom lessons and return assignments on time, most of the solved.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5) (course unit)

Exam value (s) close to K5, tasks restored and resolved, attending lessons and helping other students.
