Part of the course will be organised during the International week in the Hague University of Applied Sciences; students who are not participating the week, will be connected via Skype.

Goals :
The student:
- masters the basics of professional communication
- recognises his/her strengths and development challenges in professional communication and interaction situations
- knows how to work in a multidisciplinary team/working environment
- is able to develop communication skills with people of different ages and with different life situations
- knows how to act in typical communication situations and networks related to the health care field
- knows how to manage and behave in challenging communication situations
Content:
the student:
- will learn how to recognise and evaluate one's communication skills and competences
- will learn and understand professional communication and cooperation within the working environment, work-related well-being, professional relationship with colleagues
- will understand the professional interaction in cooperation with individuals and their families
- will understand the importance of staying professional in social media
- will develop multicultural nursing skills
- will learn about the challenges with cooperative situations, different methods of cooperation
- will gain knowledge and understanding to bring up difficult issues
