The students know the evidence-based practice methods.
The students understand the requirements and objectives of evidence-based practice in health care environments.
The students are able to evaluate the usability of evidence-based knowledge in their own work.
The students are able to use the evidence-based behavioral assessment methods and tools.
The students are able to have an oral presentation.

Arviointimenetelmät ja arvioinnin perusteet

Attendance in lectures, participation and work in groupwork, individual written assignments and worklife development project, oral presentation.
Grade 1-5:
50 % report plan, oral presentation (Kirsi Saarinen)
50 % written report (Lea Saarni)
If you are not able to give your presentation on 4th December 2015, videorecord your presentation and submit it for assessment to Kirsi Saarinen and Lea Saarni.

Arviointikriteerit - hylätty (0) (Ei käytössä, kts Opintojakson Arviointikriteerit ylempänä)

The student doesn't know the evidence-based practice methods.
The student is not able to evaluate the usability of evidence-based knowledge in his/her own work.
The student is not able to use the evidence-based assessment methods and tools in his/her own work and assess the use in the short-term development project.
- is unable to participate in spoken communication because of his/her difficulties in spoken production /or in understanding other speakers
-pronunciation is difficult to understand
-can control a very narrow vocabulary which is not enough in order to deal with production or interaction. Uses inappropriate words and phrases repeatedly
-shows a limited control of a few simple grammatical structures

Arviointikriteerit - tyydyttävä (1-2) (Ei käytössä, kts Opintojakson Arviointikriteerit ylempänä)

The student knows the evidence-based practice methods, but can inadequately apply them in practice.
The student is able to evaluate the usability of evidence-based knowledge in his/her own work, but not in the organization level.
The student can partially use the evidence-based assessment methods and tools in his/her own work and satisfactory assess the use in the short-term development project.
-can give a presentation provided he/she is given some help to express what he/she wants to
- pronounces mostly comprehensibly
- can express him/herself with somewhat clarity
- uses basic grammatical structures
- has a sufficient vocabulary to express him/herself so that essential message comes across

Arviointikriteerit - hyvä (3-4) (Ei käytössä, kts Opintojakson Arviointikriteerit ylempänä)

The student knows the evidence-based practice methods and can apply them in practice.
The student is able to evaluate the usability of evidence-based knowledge in his/her own work and organization.
The student can use the evidence-based assessment methods and tools in his/her own work organization and assess the use in the short-term development project.
- has a good range of vocabulary for matters connected to his/her field
- can give a presentation fairly effectively and fluently
- pronunciation is fairly intelligible even if a foreign accent is somewhat evident and occasional mispronunciations occur
- shows a relatively high degree of grammatical control. If he/she makes mistakes he/she can correct him/herself if mistakes have led to misunderstanding
- lexical accuracy is fairly high

Arviointikriteerit - kiitettävä (5) (Ei käytössä, kts Opintojakson Arviointikriteerit ylempänä)

The student knows the evidence-based practice methods and can profoundly apply them in practice.
The student is able to evaluate and use the usability of evidence-based knowledge in his/her own work and organization.
The student can use the evidence-based assessment methods and tools in his/her work organization and knowledgeably assess the use in the short-term development project.
-has a good command of a broad lexical repertoire for matters connected to his/her field
- can deliver an effective and fluent presentation
- can discuss fluently and spontaneously
- has acquired a clear, natural pronunciation and intonation
- has a good grammatical control and accuracy. Occasional slips or non-systematic errors and minor flaws in sentence structure may still occur
