Objectives (course unit)

The students know the evidence-based practice methods.
The students understand the requirements and objectives of evidence-based practice in health care environments.
The students are able to evaluate the usability of evidence-based knowledge in their own work.
The students are able to use the evidence-based behavioral assessment methods and tools.
The students are able to have an oral presentation.

Evidence-based practice methods and processes
Health technology effectiveness and evaluation
Evidence-based practice in practical projects and oral presentation

Assessment methods and criteria

Attendance in lectures, participation and work in groupwork, individual written assignments and worklife development project, oral presentation.

Assessment criteria - fail (0) (Not in use, Look at the Assessment criteria above)

The student doesn't know the evidence-based practice methods.
The student is not able to evaluate the usability of evidence-based knowledge in his/her own work.
The student is not able to use the evidence-based assessment methods and tools in his/her own work and assess the use in the short-term development project.

Assessment criteria - satisfactory (1-2) (Not in use, Look at the Assessment criteria above)

The student knows the evidence-based practice methods, but can inadequately apply them in practice.
The student is able to evaluate the usability of evidence-based knowledge in his/her own work, but not in the organization level.
The student can partially use the evidence-based assessment methods and tools in his/her own work and satisfactory assess the use in the short-term development project.

Assessment criteria - good (3-4) (Not in use, Look at the Assessment criteria above)

The student knows the evidence-based practice methods and can apply them in practice.
The student is able to evaluate the usability of evidence-based knowledge in his/her own work and organization.
The student can use the evidence-based assessment methods and tools in his/her own work organization and assess the use in the short-term development project.

Assessment criteria - excellent (5) (Not in use, Look at the Assessment criteria above)

The student knows the evidence-based practice methods and can profoundly apply them in practice.
The student is able to evaluate and use the usability of evidence-based knowledge in his/her own work and organization.
The student can use the evidence-based assessment methods and tools in his/her work organization and knowledgeably assess the use in the short-term development project.
