Objectives

The student can examine the event from the perspective of the event attendee and commercial aspects and develop the event.

The student can gather information and feedback from event attendees and utilize the accumulated material in the planning of the event and its marketing and communication.

The student can describe the attendee's experience during the various stages of the event and define the service promise for the event.

The student can create engaging content for marketing and communication, thus enhancing the event's attractiveness.

Content

The implementation includes inspirational lectures, case examples, as well as group and individual tasks related to one's own production or event project. The content supports event production development from three perspectives: understanding and empathy for the event attendee, enhancing the visitor experience, and planning marketing and communication.

Assessment criteria, pass/fail

Pass:

The student demonstrates in writing or in a performance test that he is able to:
*examine an event from the perspective of the event attendee and commercial aspects and develop the event at a basic level.
*collect information and feedback from event attendees and utilize the accumulated material at a basic level in the planning of the event and its marketing and communication.
*substantially describe the event attendee's experience in various stages of the event and define a service promise for the event.
*create content for marketing and communication at a basic level, thus improving the event's appeal.

Fail:
The student is unable to demonstrate all the competencies required for an approved performance.

The course content is so extensive that the subject areas of the course are planned to be deepened in practical exercises.
