Objectives

After completing the study unit, the student is able to
- identify the operations, operators and tasks of their organisation and participate in the development of the organisation or make justified suggestions to promote the viewpoint of counselling
- act as a counselling expert in curriculum design, for example, and support teachers and other actors in the themes of counselling
- validate the significance of comprehensive counselling design and act as an expert in the preparation, assessment and development of documents related to counselling design
- acknowledge the principles of networking, operate in the organisation’s internal and external networks as a representative of counselling and lead multidisciplinary network meetings
- argue in favour of situations where multidisciplinary cooperation is in students’ interests and acknowledge the principles of multidisciplinary cooperation
- act as an expert in counselling during transition stages
- offer their expertise to the network and use the network’s expertise, in turn.

Content

During the study unit, we will seek to answer the following questions:
- What kind of a role does counselling have in communities and networks?
- What are the instructions and factors affecting counselling in an organisation?
- How do organisations analyse and assess the development needs of counselling?
- How are organisations developed from the perspective of counselling?

Assessment criteria, pass/fail

The student passes the study unit if they have demonstrated competencies described in the learning outcomes. If the student has not achieved the learning outcomes or supplemented their competencies in the manner agreed on, they will fail the study unit. The grounds for the assessment criteria are described in the document ‘Pedagogical principles in Professional guidance counsellor education’. The assessment criteria are derived from the learning outcomes presented in the implementation plan for the study unit.
