Objectives

The core competence fields of teachers’ work are assessment competence, cultural competence, teaching and facilitation competence, partnership competence and wellbeing competence. They form a framework for all competence objectives.

Teacher students
- assess and compare different teaching and learning arrangements
- understand principles of competence-based curricula
- plan constructively alligned teaching and facilitation
- use key learning and facilitation concepts
- compare different pedagogical approaches and methods and evaluate their applicability to their teaching
- can justify their pedagogical choices
- understand the role of assessment in the learning process and use varying assessment methods.

Content

The pedagogical approach stands for objective setting and choices related to planning, implementation, facilitation and assessment of learning processes.

What does curriculum mean and how is the field of education related to the whole?
What is alligned planning of teaching and how does it support implementation?
What is participatory pedagogy?
What is reflective, investigative, developing and entrepreneurial approach in teaching and learning?
How can teachers consider students’ individuality, world of experience and professional growth in their teaching and facilitation?
What is the role of meeting, interaction and dialogue in supervision?
