The student can:
- illustrate and demonstrate the synergy of hospitality, well-being and responsibility
- evaluate new service opportunities from a global and local perspective
- create added value in a multidisciplinary and multicultural team and in problem solving
- apply the possibilities of the circular economy and well-being in the development of responsible service concepts
Content
WHAT viewpoints a multi-cultural approach and diversity can bring to analysis of well-being and sustainability?
WHY sustainability and wellbeing challenges and problems should be tackled with cross-expertise teamwork?
WHY wellbeing and sustainability call for a holistic understanding?
HOW circular economy thinking & doing can be applied in sustainable services and events?
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2)
The student can identify and define the basic concepts of tourism, hospitality, well-being and sustainability.
The student knows different procedures of the circular economy in service business.
Can describe and assess the economic and wellbeing related effects of his/her own work. The student knows how to work in a project in cooperation with actors from different fields and knows how to bring his own professional knowledge to teamwork.
Assessment criteria, good (3-4)
The student can explain relationships of hospitality, well-being and sustainability related phenomena and key concepts.
The student can select suitable and appropriate methods and argument one’s choices to promote circular economy in service management / business.
The student can describe and assess well-being and economical impact of one’s own actions within a multicultural team. The student is able to offer one’s professional skills as a resource for the team.
Assessment criteria, excellent (5)
The student can holistically discuss the synergy between, hospitality, well-being and sustainability.
The student consistently works towards alternative operational models and sustainable solutions to promote circular economy in service business / management.
The student can anticipate well-being and economical impact of one’s own actions. The student works flexibly within a multicultural team. The student combines different competences and encourages others to share information and participate in teamwork.
