Objectives

During the work placement, students deepen their expertise in education, social work, guidance, client work, and service systems. They also apply client work methods in guidance.

Upon completing this course, the student will:
• Be able to establish a professional client or educational relationship
• Understand the central theoretical foundations of social work and education, and be able to justify their guidance and educational practices based on these principles
• Be familiar with service systems that support well-being and social security, and apply them from a service guidance perspective
• Recognize the significance of documentation in client work
• Demonstrate competence in functioning within a social work team

• The role of a social educator and guide

• Ethics in client work and service systems

• Service system expertise and service guidance

Assessment criteria, pass/fail

Approved:

Student:
• skills, knowledge, and attitude demonstrate competence in the field of social work
• analyzes the relationships between relevant phenomena and concepts, and is able to apply these in their practice at the internship site and in their internship report
• takes responsibility and is committed not only to their own actions but also to client work and the functioning of the internship site

Not approved:

Student:
• skills, knowledge, and attitude do not demonstrate competence in the field of social work
• theoretical expertise remains at a descriptive and declarative level
• fails to apply the relationships between phenomena and concepts in their practice at the internship site or in the internship report
• does not take professional responsibility for their actions at the internship site
