Objectives

Students deepen their competence in patient care in pre-hospital emergency care outside the hospital.

After completing the course, the student

Guided training in the role of a paramedic outside the hospital

Pre-hospital care for acutely ill and injured patients outside the hospital
• Knows the essential treatment methods for pre-hospital patients
• Can safely use examination, treatment, and transfer equipment for pre-hospital patients

Assessment of care needs and guidance in pre-hospital emergency care outside the hospital
• Can systematically examine a pre-hospital patient, discuss care needs, and formulate a working diagnosis
• Familiarizes themselves with documenting pre-hospital patients and secure data transfer

Operational leadership and activities in the pre-hospital healthcare team
• Knows the key communication, communication, and reporting methods used in pre-hospital care

Service system and stakeholder cooperation in pre-hospital care
• Can describe the tasks of the pre-hospital service as part of the patient care pathway

Content

Students deepen their competence in patient care in pre-hospital emergency care outside the hospital.

Prerequisites

Completion of first-year studies, Medical and Surgical Nursing, Anatomy and Physiology, Medication, and Medication calculation. Participated in basic level of Emergency Care course.

• Can safely use examination, treatment, and transfer equipment for pre-hospital patients
Can systematically examine a pre-hospital patient, assess care needs, and make a working diagnosis
• Familiarizes themselves with documenting pre-hospital patients and secure data transfer
• Knows the key communication, communication, and reporting methods used in pre-hospital care
• Can describe the tasks of the pre-hospital service as part of the patient care pathway

Failed:
Student
• Does not know the essential treatment methods for pre-hospital patients
• Cannot safely use examination, treatment, and transfer equipment for pre-hospital patients
• Cannot systematically examine a pre-hospital patient, assess care needs, or make a working diagnosis
• Does not understand the basics of documenting pre-hospital patients or secure data transfer
• Does not know the key communication, communication, and reporting methods used in pre-hospital care
• Cannot describe the tasks of the pre-hospital service as part of the patient care pathway
