The assessment is based on successful completion of the following tasks and activities:
• Written tasks throughout the course (resume, application letter, written exam)
• Mandatory oral activities (own instrument presentation, discussion on a professional topic)
• Course participation (participation in class activities, contribution to discussions, independent work tasks).

Completion alternatives
Option 1. If the student has completed corresponding studies at another university or university of applied sciences or has extensive work experience where the working language is English, the student may apply for credit transfer or recognition of competence through Hyvähot/Creta system.
Such cases have to be discussed with the teacher at the start of the course, and the student may be required to complete additional assignments to demonstrate their knowledge and skills.
Option 2. The course can be completed by presenting a language portfolio (please see instructions in Moodle). The language portfolio plan must be agreed with the teacher by 28.01.2022 and the portfolio must be presented no later than 22.04.2022.

Prerequisites: A-level upper secondary school English or equivalent skills, a passed TAMK skill level test, or a passed preparatory course
Mandatory attendance: 80% of the lessons. This requirement applies to online lessons as well.
