Code: 5E00GN87

Credits

5 op

Objectives

After completing this course students are able to:

- use the basic statistical methods (calculate statistical values, use graphs in describing scientific phenomena, test hypothesis) in data analysis.

Content

Statistical charts and numbers, probability, regression and correlation, hypothesis testing.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2)

Understands and can apply basic statistical methods in data analysis. Can calculate fundamental statistical values, use basic graphs to describe scientific phenomena, and perform simple hypothesis testing, but may require guidance in interpreting results.

Assessment criteria, good (3-4)

Demonstrates a solid understanding of basic statistical methods and independently applies these methods in data analysis. Can calculate a variety of statistical values, uses graphs effectively in describing scientific phenomena, and conducts hypothesis testing, showing the ability to interpret results.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

Exhibits comprehensive and in-depth knowledge of statistical methods. Can use advanced statistical techniques in data analysis, calculates statistical values, creates insightful graphical representations to describe scientific phenomena, and performs hypothesis testing with confidence. Interprets and presents statistical results accurately, providing valuable insights into data.
