Nursing of Sexual Violence Victim (5 cr)

Objectives (course unit)

- The student understands what constitutes violence that violates sexuality and its different dimensions.
- The student is aware of the legislation on violence that violates sexuality, as well as the course of the criminal process.
- The student knows the principles of treatment that has faced sexual violence and knows the effects and consequences of violence that violates sexuality.
- The student knows the principles of sensitive customer work.
- The student knows the key issues in the care of a customer who has experienced violence that violates sexuality and how to take their effects into account also from the employee's point of view, as well as the principles related to the employee's well-being and well-being at work.
- The student is familiar with the principles of violence prevention that violates sexuality, as well as the principles, methods and ethical code of sexual education used in prevention.

- Sexually offensive violence, related concepts, and the prevalence of violence.
- Legislation and criminal proceedings related to violence that violates sexuality.
- The consequences of violence that violates sexuality for those who have faced violence, as well as the sensitive treatment of those who have faced violence and the matters to be taken into account in it.
- Employee competence, coping and well-being at work
- Prevention of sexually offensive violence and the methods used in It.

Assessment criteria, pass/fail (course unit)

The task-specific evaluation criteria are presented in the context of the tasks of each topic/theme. There are five related themes in the course. Each theme has its own last task return date, which is absolute. If the student has not returned his/her assignment by the deadline, he/she will be excluded from the course. Delayed tasks are not checked.

Task 1 approved criteria: The student has opened up the concepts of violence that violates sexuality and the phenomenon related to it extensively. The information presented is evidence-based. The sources are up-to-date and reliable. The source entries have been made in accordance with the written work instructions.

Task 2 approved criteria: The student demonstrates familiarity with the course of the criminal process. He describes the course of the criminal process of the plaintiff in sexual violence comprehensively and with regard to the parties involved in the assistance. The information presented is appropriate, evidence-based and based on Finnish criminal laws, regulations and social and health care service systems. The sources are up-to-date and reliable. The source entries have been made in accordance with the written work instructions.

Task 3 approved criteria: The student has actively participated in the online discussion and presented their own reflection as well as evidence-based information in it. He has opened at least one debate on the given topics and commented on at least three other debates. The discussion among the other participants is professional and shows familiarity with the issue.

Task 4 approved criteria: Students demonstrate in their assignment that the substantive and methodological choices are backed up by researched evidence. The student has been active and equal as a member of the group. The sources used are up-to-date and reliable. The source entries have been made in accordance with the written work instructions.

Task 5 approved criteria: The student demonstrates his/her familiarity with the requirements set for the competence of an employee of violence work that violates sexuality. Students reflect on their own attitudes and values in relation to sexual violence and their role and coping as a helper. Students demonstrate deep reflection on their own learning process. The sources are up-to-date and reliable. The source entries have been made in accordance with the written work instructions.

Location and time

Koulutus toteutetaan ja tuotetaan viiden ammattikorkeakoulun yhteistyönä. Yhteistyössä olevat ammattikorkeakoulut: Tampereen ammattikorkeakoulu, Metropolia ammattikorkeakoulu, Savonia ammattikorkeakoulu, Turun ammattikorkeakoulu ja Oulun ammattikorkeakoulu.

Opintojaksolla on tehtäväkohtainen palautusaikataulu ja vastuuopettajat kullekin tehtävälle. Tehtäväkohtainen määräaika on ehdoton.Opiskelija tippuu kurssilta, jos tehtävän palautus ei ole tullut annettuun määräaikaan mennessä. Poikkeuksena täydennyksen vuoksi lisäaikaa saaneet opiskelijat.

Opintojakso toteutuu Savonian-moodle alustalla, johon opiskelija kirjautuu oman organisaationsa HAKA-tunnisteilla.

Exam schedules

Ei tenttiä. Kurssi suoritetaan kokonaan verkossa. Kurssi koostuu viidestä eri teemasta, jotka tulevat kaikki olla hyväksytysti suoritettu kokonaisuoritusmerkinnän saamiseksi.

Tehtävät tulee olla palautettuna määräpäivään mennessä, muutoin kurssilla eteneminen estyy. Annetussa tehtäväkohtaisissa aikatauluissa pysyminen on ehdoton. Myöhästyneitä tehtäviä ei arvioida.

Jos opiskelija on palauttanut tehtävänsä annetussa aikataulussa, mutta tehtävä vaatii täydennystä opettajan arvioinnin jälkeen, on opiskelijalla mahdollista täydentää tehtävää opettajan antaman erillien ohjeistuksen ja aikataulutuksen mukaisesti. Täydennykseen menevä tehtävä ei poista opiskelijaa kurssilta, vaan hän voi edetä muiden tehtävien osalta normaaliin tapaan.

Arviointi perustuu ohjeiden mukaisesti annettuihin verkkotehtäviin. Tehtävät tulee olla palautettuna annetussa aikataulussa. Aikataulu on ehdoton.Yksityiskohtaisemmat arviointikriteerit löytyvät kurssin moodle-alustalta.
Jokaisen teeman tehtävälle oma palautuspäivämäärä, minkä tiedot löytyvät kurssialustalta kurssin alkaessa. Tehtävien täydennysten osalta noudatetaan ko.tehtävän opettajan antamaa aikataulua. Annettu tehtävien palautusaikataulu on ehdoton. Myöhässä olevia tehtäviä ei arvioida.

Teaching methods

Itsenäinen opiskelu verkossa: verkkoluentojen käyttö ja aineistoihin perehtyminen, verkkotehtävien suorittaminen annettujen kriteerien pohjalta.

Opintojakso koostuu viidestä eri teemasta. Tehtävät ovat yksilötehtäviä.

Student workload

Jokainen tehtävä on 1op laajuinen, mikä tarkoittaa 27 työskentelyyn varattua tunti per tehtävä. Kurssin kokonaislaajuus 5op eli opiskelijan laskennallien ajankäyttö yhteensä 135 tuntia.

- Seksuaalisuutta loukkaava väkivalta, siihen liittyvät käsitteet sekä väkivallan yleisyys.
- Seksuaalisuutta loukkaavaan väkivaltaan liittyvä lainsäädäntö ja rikosprosessi.
- Seksuaalisuutta loukkaavan väkivallan seuraukset väkivaltaa kohdanneelle sekä väkivaltaa
kohdanneen sensitiivinen hoito ja siinä huomioitavat asiat.
- Työntekijän osaaminen, jaksaminen ja työnhyvinvointi
- Seksuaalisuutta loukkaavan väkivallan ehkäisy ja siinä käytettäviä menetelmiä.
