Introduction to Business in Asia (Online/Asianet) (3cr)

Objectives (course unit)

This course provides you with basic information about business in this macro-region. Students will learn transferable skills such as searching and summarizing new information, and identifying and understanding key issues related to business in Asia.

Content (course unit)

The course covers the three major regions in Asia: East, South and Southeast Asia, with specific focus on China and India. It’s recommended to combine this course with “Introduction to Business in Asia – country study” (2 ECTS, PASI5245).

REGISTRATION Students from the University of Turku, and the other member universities of the Finnish University Network for Asian Studies can register for this course through the Peppi or Sisu systems. This course is on-going until the end of the 2026. In the study system, please enroll in the course period during which you intend to complete the course. Credits will be registered after the end of each course period. If you are taking the course as part of the 25-credit minor offered by the Finnish University Network for Asian Studies, be sure to also register for PASI5245 “Introduction to Business in Asia - country study”.
