Yrkeshögskolan Novia, The course begins with two training days on campus in October. The course is primarily carried out through mentorship meetings with a child over the course of an academic year. The mentor meets with their child approximately once a week at any location. Throughout the year, the mentor participates in both individual supervision sessions and group supervision. The course concludes with a joint celebration event for both children and mentors.

The Student: - has knowledge about central concepts within mentorship for children and youth - has understanding of childhood and living conditions in our contemporary society - knows how to build relationships and communicate with children and families with different backgrounds – is able to plan, implement, and evaluate activities based on the needs of the child to support the child's ability to play, learn, and manage different situations

The course is assessed through a report on the mentorship process as well as short reports throughout the academic year on the progress of the mentorship.
