Objectives (course unit)

The student: - Identifies the principles and knowledge base of sustainable development. - Is able to define social and cultural sustainability challenges in particular. - Recognizes the principles of accessible and responsible operations.

Assessment methods and criteria

Opintojaksolla käytetään itsearviointia, vertaisarviointia, automaattisia tenttejä sekä lehtorien arviointia. Itsearvioinnin avuksi opiskelija tekee vähintään yhden materiaaleissa kuvatuista testeistä. Lisäksi itsearviointiin kuuluu oman toiminnan muutoksen miettimistä. Vertaisarviointi toteutetaan siten, että jokainen opiskelija kommentoi vähintään kahta tehtävää. Kommentoinnissa käytetään apuna opintojakson tavoitteita – kommentoi sitä siis, onko tehtävän palauttaja tunnistanut kestävän kehityksen periaatteet ja tietopohjan sekä kestävyyshaasteen. Huomioi myös, onko vastauksessa kuvattu toiminta vastuullista. Opettajat arvioivat tehtäviä ja kirjaavat kommentteja Hoodleen parin viikon välein. Lopuksi he laittavat suoritusmerkintöjä opintorekisteriin. Opintojakson suoritusmerkintä tulee viimeistään neljän viikon kuluessa opintojakson suorittamisesta. Voit kysyä suoritusmerkintääsi lehtorilta, mikäli et ole saanut sitä tai haluat varmistaa merkinnän saamisen ennen tiettyä päivää perustellusta syystä.

During the course, the participant becomes acquainted with the requirements of sustainable development, especially from Humak's point of view. The student learns the principles of sustainable development and to find solutions and operating models that support sustainable development. During the studies, the student gains access to a knowledge base through which they are able to promote the implementation of the principles of sustainable development. In particular, they are able to identify social and cultural sustainability challenges and recognize the diversity of the issues and problems involved. The online course requires the student to have access to a computer and the internet, as well as the use of study programs such as Hoodle and Zoom / Teams. Studying strengthens the student's ability to promote sustainable development in their own organization. Therefore, the course is suitable for anyone interested in development. Level: Learner
