Project and Team Management in Production and Services (5cr)

Objectives (course unit)

The student will gain insight into terms, methods and principles of planning and leading projects, start and organize projects, lead project team and manage projects, be able to identify the meaning and value of good leadership, define different types of teams and what makes a high performing team and analyze the importance of self-leadership.

Content (course unit)

-Project planning -organization and resources -project phases and work breakdown structure -scheduling (Gantt, CPM), budgeting and cost control -risk management and change management -communication -reporting, closing and lessons learned

Teaching methods

The course is studied on-line in the Moodle learning environment. The study includes familiarization with materials, learning tasks, assignments and online lectures. The study period starts on 04.02.2025 and ends on 31.5.2025. You must register for the study course no later than 24.1.2025. The course assignments must be returned/completed by 31.5.2025 at the latest.

Student workload
