Objectives (course unit)
The student understands the basics of the Lean and knows key vocabulary. The student is ready to use key methods and tools of Lean. Student focus from resource efficiency to flow efficiency and from resource thinking to customer thinking. Students are able to apply the basic principles of Lean thinking to their own work / study.

Location and time
These are virtual studies which can be completed within student's own schedules, according to timetables and boundary conditions given. The student can plan the use of their time in a flexible manner. Study load for the course is defined by the general guidelines set by HAMK.
Exam schedules
All the assignments are done in the numerical order based on student's own schedule.
Assessment methods and criteria
Grading is done by assignments and on the basis of the student's activity. Grading will be done at the end of study module. Contact the teacher if you need your grade faster.

Teaching methods
The course is implemented online as independent guided virtual studies. The main learning environment will be Moodle. Students work independently on the different sections of the course. Assignments, activities, exams, etc. are done in Moodle. Student guidance is provided through Moodle, Zoom, Teams and other tools as needed, both in groups and individually. According to HAMK's BYOD guidelines, students must have their own laptop for studying. Content scheduling
The course is to be executed within the given period. This course virtual - so the timing is rather free. You can execute the course between the starting and closing dates rather freely. You can start doing the course immediately after your enrollment has been accepted - and please reserve enough time for it - about 8 weeks. All the tasks has to be done before the course end. Student feedback is appreciated to the Moodle already during the execution of the course. Virtual studies, students plan their own schedule inside the provided time limit (tasks, exercises, tests, etc. performance).
