Objectives (course unit)

After completing the course, the student
• know the fundamentals of dimensioning and design of vehicle bodies
• knows the most important national and international vehicle regulations
• know the manufacturing technologies of passenger vehicles
• knows how to use programs in the vehicle industry for damage repair cost calculation.

Content (course unit)

The course introduces vehicle body structures from the perspectives of design, manufacture and repair. At the same time, vehicle safety structures and equipment are discussed.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2) (course unit)

Can identify and define structural solutions for body structures used in vehicles. Knows different repair methods. Works in a group. Recognizes his communication skills. Identifies important operating methods for one's field.

Assessment criteria, good (3-4) (course unit)

Can structure the structural solutions of different body structures in relation to each other. Can choose the most suitable of different repair methods and justify his choice. Can cooperate responsibly and is ready to develop his interaction skills.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5) (course unit)

Broadly understands the structural solutions used in vehicle body structures. Can choose the right work methods for various crash repairs and create new solutions. Can cooperate responsibly, flexibly and constructively. Develops both own and group interaction.
