Objectives (course unit)
The aim of the course is to develop work life relevant skills including interdisciplinary communication and project management skills. Participants will also get familiar and work with strategic foresight tools and design thinking methodologies.
After completion the course, student
• has understanding of future scenarios creation
• can identify meaningful information in the middle of the noise
• has gained interdisciplinary & international teamwork experience
• can develop concepts/demos/visions of various futures using foresight, speculative design, and research methods
• has experience of project execution
Content (course unit)
The course is conducted in collaboration with Demola Global (a global foresight agency). Demola co-creation experts work together with the selected student teams to create alternative future visions and insights. Projects are done in 4–6-member interdisciplinary global teams.
Course work includes both asynchronous and synchronous hours. Asynchronous hours are done at own pace and include background research, planning and personal tasks. Synchronous hours include team meetings (times can be agreed with teammates) and community events.
The student learns how to use various cocreation and design methods and understands how to develop an idea or concept further. By writing a project report the students will learn to summarize, rationalize, and explain their visions.

Assessment methods and criteria
The course is approved when you have participated in all project activities and have completed the project, returned the joint final learning outcome and individual individual learning outcome approved.

After the actual implementation, the student also completes an individual reflection about the project, based on entrepreneurial competencies. Students will find instructions to reflection in Moodle.
