Objectives (course unit)

The objective is to provide basic skills for self-development, teamwork, and improving team dynamics. Additionally, the goal is to introduce students to various fields of expertise within the ICT industry.

Upon completion of the study module, the student is able to
• understand the fundamental principles of teamwork and be able to operate accordingly.
• recognize themselves as team members.
• be capable of reflecting and developing themselves as team members.
• develop important skills for team members such as self-direction, problem-solving skills, communication skills, stress management, and self-awareness.
• distinguish between different competence areas within the ICT field.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2) (course unit)

The student is able to
• describe their own actions within a team.
• describe working in a team.

Assessment criteria, good (3-4) (course unit)

The student is able to
• analyze their own actions as a team member.
• analyze the team and its members actions.
• develop themselves as a team player.
• describe the professional requirements and skill needs in the ICT industry.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5) (course unit)

The student is able to
• analyze comprehensively their own actions as a team member by comparing experiences, for example, with their previous experiences in group-/teamwork.
• analyze the team and its members actions based on literature related to team skills and their own experiences in teamwork.
• develop themselves extensively in various skills important for team members.
• develop themselves as ICT professionals and experts.

Location and time

Verkossa ke 9-13. Lisäksi itsenäistä työskentelyä. Tarkempi aikataulu esitellään opintojakson alkaessa.

Assessment methods and criteria

Opintojakson arviointi
Opintojakso koostuu 2 casen, tiimioppimiskertojen ja tuutoroinnin hyväksytystä suorittamisesta.
• Numeroarviointi perustuu opiskelijan ja opiskelijatiimin case-työskentelyyn. Arviointiin vaikuttaa läsnäolo 30% lopputuotokset 40% sekä itse- ja vertaisarviointi 30%
• Läsnäolo opintojaksolla on pakollista. Läsnäolo vaikuttaa arvosanaan merkittävästi.
• Yli kolmesta poissaolosta seuraa korvaava tehtävä.

Tuutorointi, tiimioppiminen ja case-työskentely.
