Objectives (course unit)

This course introduces the most important calculations in the early stages of the company, the choice of company form and its effects, as well as tips for building sustainable business and choosing a good accounting firm.

After the course student
- has basic understanding of company's finances
- will master the basic indicators of company economics
- can make decisions based on economical indicators
- is able to plan financially sustainable business

The ABC of Entrepreneurial Finance course consists of three different sections and feedback.

1. Choosing company form
2. Calculations
3. Taxation & YEL, Choosing & cooperating with accountant

Assessment criteria, pass/fail (course unit)

Approved when student has demonstrated successful work towards the learning outcomes: understands the basics of entrepreneurial finance, can apply entrepreneurial finance into practise and have completed the learning assignments in Moodle.

Failed if student has not succeeded in understanding the basics of the entrepreneurial finance. Student has not mastered the learning outcomes in a way that could take entrepreneurial finance into practise. Has not completed the learning assignments in Moodle.

Assessment methods and criteria

The course is approved when you have studied the given material and successfully completed the learning assignments on the Moodle platform, using the course materials.
