Objectives (course unit)

The aim of the course is to learn how to plan and implement a business.

After completing the course, the student will
- can make a business plan and start implementing it.
- understand the importance of project team leadership and project management.
- can plan and implement a project.

Content (course unit)

What is a business plan and how is it prepared?
What are the key aspects of project management?
How to plan and implement a project?

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2) (course unit)

The student will identify the purpose, principle, and content of a business plan. They understand the importance of project management. The student will participate in the work and reporting in the learning environment chosen for the implementation.

Assessment criteria, good (3-4) (course unit)

The student will articulate the purpose, principle, and content of a business plan. They understand the importance of project management. The student will actively participate in the work and reporting in the learning environment chosen for the implementation.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5) (course unit)

The student will be able to analyze different approaches to business planning and project management and recommend appropriate working methods and methodologies. They will be able to anticipate risks and support others when necessary. The student will take committed responsibility for the progress, quality, and reporting of work in the learning environment chosen for the implementation.

Teaching methods

Viikottaiset ennakkotehtävät, itsenäistä -ja pienryhmä työskentelyä,luennointi ja tehtäväkohtaisia sparrauksia. Toteutus tukee vahvasti oppiyritysten suunnittelua ja perustamista, joten osallistuminen toteutukselle tärkeätä.
Etäluennot maanantaisin myös lähitunteja.

Student workload

Toteutus edellyttää opiskelijalta itsenäistä työskentelyä ja kurssitehtävien tekoa omalla ajalla.
Kirjanpito: Etä- ja lähiopetus/ohjaus n. 18 h. Opiskelijan itsenäinen työ n. 22 h.
Opintojakso kokonaisuudessaan 5op, joka vastaa n 135 h opiskelijan työtä.

Completion alternatives

Kyseistä kurssia ei voi hyväksilukea, koska kurssi tukee vahvasti oppiyrityksen rakentamista.

Practical training and working life cooperation

Kukin tiimi etsii itsenäisesti yrittäjän/johtoasemassa olevan henkilön, joka voisi toimia suunnittelutyössä sparraajana. Toivomuksena tapaaminen hänen kanssaan ja mahdollisesti liiketoimintasuunnitelman kommentointi jossain vaiheessa prosessia. Sparraajalla ei ole arviointi velvoitetta. Oman työn etenemisen ja todenmukaisuuden kannalta sparraaja on erittäin tärkeä tässä työssä.
