Enterprise Architecture Thinking (5 cr)

Objectives (course unit)

The course introduces the Enterprise Architecture (EA) method, which provides a systematic way to comprehensively describe, manage, and develop an organization's operations by leveraging various perspectives. With the tools of EA frameworks, it becomes possible to better manage the interdependencies among operations, systems, and data, thus enhancing the value delivered to the organization's objectives through development efforts.

Upon completing the course, the student will be able to

• identify how enterprise architecture serves as a tool for strategic management within an organization.
• understand how enterprise architecture better integrates ICT and business.

• Selecting an appropriate description method
• Key description methods, such as ArchiMate, BPMN, and UML notations
• Relationship between enterprise architecture work and service architecture
