Objectives (course unit)

Student is able to evaluate and develop clinical laboratory work by using national and international quality guidelines, standards and evidence based knowledge.

• National and interntational quality quidelines and standards of clinical laboratory work, and evidence based knowledge.
• Requirements of quality management system and models of quality management
• Medical laboatories. Requirements for quality and competence
• Methods of quality control in clinical laboratory work
• Audit and accreditation
• Quality development of activity and processes

The student is able to use standards and evidence based knowledge and understand their significance in the evaluation and development of operations.

The student is able to apply national and international quality guidelines and standards for clinical laboratory work as well as evidence based knowledge in the evaluation and development of operations.
