Objectives (course unit)

Students
-know how to define an inquiry and perform a structured data search
-know how to describe the process of a data search
-understand the meaning of evidence based practice
-know how to search the clinical practice guidelines based on health care

Content (course unit)

-most essential national and international databases and guidelines
-structured data search (e.g. PICO)
-evidence based practice
-level of evidence
-research critique

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2) (course unit)

-can use search terms which are essential from the point of view of the subject
-can describe the search process superficially
-can draw up a bibliography but it is not based on given instructions
-can describe the data search and evidence based practice at a level which states the principles
-can choose some suitable sources from the point of view of the study question
-can use at least one international research article as a source
-the written report partly follows the reporting instructions of TAMK

Assessment criteria, good (3-4) (course unit)

-can use search terms which are essential from the point of view of the subject
-can describe the search process
-can draw up a bibliography in accordance with the instructions
-can describe the principles of data search and evidence based practice
-can choose suitable sources from the point of view of the study question
-can use an international research article as a source
-the written report follows the reporting instructions of TAMK in general

Assessment criteria, excellent (5) (course unit)

-can define the subject appropriately and can use search terms which are essential from the point of view of the subject
-can describe the search process accurately and consistently
-can draw up a bibliography in accordance with the instructions
-can widely describe the principles of data search and evidence based practice
-can versatilely choose suitable sources from the point of view of the study question
-can use an international research article as a source
-the written report follows the reporting instructions of TAMK

Tenttiin osallistuminen edellyttää kaikkien tehtävien tekemistä ennen tenttiä.

Assessment methods and criteria

Arvioitava kirjallinen harjoitustyö (kirjallisuuskatsaus), tehdään pareittain. Arvosanan painotus 50% harjoitustyö (kirjallisuuskatsaus) ja 50 % Exam tentti Tentin hyväksymisraja on 50% pisteistä. Moodle tehtävät suoritetaan täysimääräisesti. Annetussa aikataulussa pysyminen huomioidaan arvioinnissa.

Content scheduling

Toteutetaan kahtena "juoksutuksena": Ensimmäinen viikoilla 9-12 (niille, jotka eivät aloita ORHA II) ja toinen 15-18 (niille, jotka eivät ole harjoittelussa).

Hyväksilukua voi hakea aikaisemmin suoritetulla ylemmällä korkeakoulututkinnolla tai aikaisemmin suoritetuilla vastaavilla opinnoilla.
