Objectives (course unit)
Students understand architecture as a combination of art, engineering and economy.
Students recognize diverse architectural styles and can classify diverse fields of architecture.
Content (course unit)
Basics of architectural theory
Mastery of basics of architecture and basic history of architecture
Basic concepts of construction art (space, volume, shape, structure, surface, rhythm, light, colour, relation, scale, function, environment, landscape)

The student has difficulties in understanding basic ideas of the subject and therefore applying learned topics to practical work is difficult.
Activity in the course and assignments is weak or hardly satisfactory. The student knows how to work in a group.
The student knows how to give and receive feedback. He examines and evaluates things from his own point of view

The student understands he basic ideas of course topics and knows how to apply his knowledge to practical work, and can professionally explain the reasons and consequences of the choices made in the exercises.
Activity in the course and assignments is good. Work proceeds consistently during the Study Period. The student knows how to cooperate responsibly and is ready to develop his interaction skills
The student knows how to give and receive feedback actively and constructively. He examines and evaluates things from both his own and the local community's point of view.

The student understands well the topics taught in the Study Course as well as previously learned and knows how to apply his knowledge in a versatile and professional way to practical work.
