Objectives (course unit)
Student is able to use basic presentation practices, art theory and critical thinking in contemporary art.
Student is able to collaborate as a part of an international student team.
Content (course unit)
Student gives a presentation of a given subject on critical thinking and art theories. Student makes a demonstration of artistic presentation in contemporary art space. Student makes a project with the interest of sustainable development in contemporary art.

Location and time
The course will be mostly as Teams meetings (distance learning) except the field trip to Helsinki where we'll be going to Kiasma, HAM and galleries, must be present at least 80 %, send an email beforehand if you cannot attend the class.

Completion alternatives
Students must be present at least 80 % in contact lessons, if force major the teacher may give an extra task to student if the cannot be present in some days, but that is exceptional!

Student must have fluent English in order to make presentation and to discuss and articulate their point of views.

Student shows that they have knowledge in the area of the subject of the courses and that they have a good over all view of the context. Student is able to use basic determinations and vocabulary of the subject. Student knows principles and practices of artistic research. The artistic project made in the course shows critical thinking and the project has been made successfully.

Student shows that they have an excellent knowledge in the area of the subject of the course and that they have a good over all view of the context. Student uses fluently determinations and vocabulary of the subject. Student knows principles and practices of artistic methods and practices. The artistic project made in the course shows profound thinking and the expression is finessed in detail.
