Objectives (course unit)
The student
- is able to plan, implement and evaluate the women’s health nursing and midwifery
- is able to talk and guide the women in the issues and health needs related sexuality, fertility and reproduction
- supports the women’s sexual and reproductive health
- has the knowledge of different gynaecological diseases, operations and surgery and is able to do the counselling related these issues
- knows how to implement medication in the women’s health nursing and midwifery
- evaluates her/his own competence realistically and is able to give and receive feedback
Content (course unit)
4 weeks supervised clinical training in a gynaecological ward or an outpatients department
Prerequisites (course unit)
Participation in course on Health Promotion for Women and their Families

Passed
The student
- is able, under supervision, to plan, implement and evaluate the women’s health nursing and midwifery safely and responsibly
- is able to talk and guide the women with good interaction in the issues and health needs related sexuality, fertility and reproduction
- observes and supports, under supervision, the women’s sexual and reproductive health
- has the knowledge of different gynaecological diseases, operations and surgery and is able to do counselling related these issues
- is managing medication related woman health nursing and midwifery correctly and safely
- follows the confidentiality and data protection guidelines
- follows in his / her actions the agreed rules of the supervised practical training
- evaluates her/his own competence realistically and is able to give and receive feedback
Failed
The student
- does not recognize the boundaries of his/her expertise, endangering patient safety
- is not able to talk and guide the women in the issues and health needs related sexuality, fertility and reproduction
- is not able to observe and support, at least under supervision, the women’s sexual and reproductive health
- does not have the knowledge of different gynaecological diseases, operations and surgery and is not able to do counselling related these issues
- is not able to implement medication in woman health nursing and midwifery correctly and safely
- violates confidentiality or patient privacy
- fails to follow the agreed rules for supervised practice
- evaluates her/his own competence unrealistically and is unable to receive feedback
