Objectives (course unit)

Students
-know the anatomy of the skeleton and joints and are able to explain their structure and function
-are able to name the human bones and joints from x-ray pictures
-know the large muscles of the human body and their function
-know the structure and function of the nervous system

Content (course unit)

-the main scientific names and terms of human anatomy and physiology
-the structure and function of the central and peripheral nervous system
-the structure and function of the human musculoskeletal system (bones, joints and muscles of the bones)
-palpation practice

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2) (course unit)

-can name some anatomical targets of the human musculoskeletal system and can use the main terms of physiology
-can partly describe the structure and function of the human musculoskeletal system
-can partly describe the structure and function of the central and peripheral nervous system
