Objectives (course unit)

The students
- are familiar with research classification, phases of research process, and the outlines of analytical methods
- can assess ethics and reliability of research in all phases
- know issues related to research plan contents

Content (course unit)

Research classification and types
Phases of research process: orientation to the topic, planning, selection of method, collection of data, analysis, presentation of results, and discussion
Thesis plan / research plan
Assessing the reliability of information and its ethical use

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2) (course unit)

The student can describe the phases of research process superficially. He/she knows quantitative and qualitative research strategies in a limited way.

Assessment criteria, good (3-4) (course unit)

The student can describe the phases of research process well. He/she knows the principles of quantitative and qualitative research strategies.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5) (course unit)

The student can apply research process to biomedical laboratory science. He/she can assess research in health sciences and biomedical laboratory science.
