Objectives (course unit)
The student is able to describe the phenomena included in the mechanical unit processes used in the process industry and explain the structure and applications of the equipment used in the processes. The student is able to solve dimensioning and balance calculations related to unit processes.
The student is able to apply his / her knowledge in later subject studies and also to utilize his / her skills in his / her future work tasks.
Content (course unit)
Separation of solids from gas, liquid and solid mixture and associated equipment. Processes for solids processing, such as reducing grain size and increasing grain size, and equipment for these processes. Mixing, storage and transportation with equipment.
