Tavoitteet (OJ)

In this course the participants will create a plan that will guide them through the Master’s programme in risk management and circular economy. The participants know the overall view of circular economy and recognize the future potential and possible risks involved with it. They understand the role of life cycle assessment (LCA) as a part of circular economy and you know the principles of carrying through an LCA. The participants know also the goals of circular economy on a local, national (e.g. Finland, EU) and global levels. The participants will use the principles of co-creation method in managing design processes, products and services in circular economy. They can justify phenomena in circular economy in critical perspective.

Sisältö (OJ)

Circular team building and communication, Tabula platform, learning methods and planning of studies, life cycle assessment (LCA), co-creation method, goals of circular economy.

Aika ja paikka

Participation in contact teaching is mandatory. Students agree together the time and platform of group meetings. The student choose place and time for individual distant learning. Every task and assignment has deadline which must be respected. See further details from the course's Tunimoodle-page and participate actively during the course to get the best results and learning experience.

Opiskelumuodot ja opetusmenetelmät

Recorded lectures, online meetings, group and individual assignments and tasks in Tuni-moodle virtual learning environment. LCA assignment. Contact sessions during the first intensive week. Distance learning individually and in groups.

Oppimateriaalit

All learning materials are distributed via the Tuni-moodle. It is strongly recommended for the student to find complementary learning materials and share it with the others.

Opiskelijan ajankäyttö ja kuormitus

The student is expected to do an individual study plan for the course in order to be able to complete the course within the target time.

The student has completed the assignments, but the scope and discussion concerning the topic is narrow and superficial. The participation in group assignments, workshops and web discussions is partial and not constructive.

The student has completed the assignments and has taken into account multiple points of view on the issues showing awareness of their inter-connections. In group assignments, the student has shown openness to the ideas expressed by the other participants, but engagement has varied during the course.

The student has completed the tasks with obvious dedication. The student has discussed the cases analytically and constructively both in individual assignments and group discussions. The student has shown active interest and engagement throughout the course.
