Objectives (course unit)

Student
- gets familiar to physiotherapy education in TAMK and know the services offered by TAMK in supporting learning
- begins to work according to problem based learning framework.
- knows the outlines of physiotherapy and physiotherapy education history
- can define physiotherapy, physiotherapy process and describe the work of a physiotherapist
- knows the basic ethical values in health care and is aware of his/her own values
- knows the professional ethical guidelines and principles of the physiotherapy profession
- knows how to use the basic ICT programs.

Assessment criteria, pass/fail (course unit)

A passed mark is the result when the student has:
- participated actively in the orientation lessons, tutorial sessions, and panel work.
- demonstrated the ability to use basic computer programs.
- done a written portfolio assignment in which they look at their own expectations in terms of skills and education.

A failed mark is the result when the student has:
- not been actively involved in studying.
- not demonstrated capability in basic IT-tasks.
- not finished their portfolio assignment or the assignment does not include reflection of the student’s prior knowledge.
