Tenttien ja uusintatenttien ajankohdat

There are two partial exams (part 1, Differential Calculus, and part 2, Integral Calculus). The first partial exam will be held on xxth of March and the second one on xxth of April.

Two re-attempt exams for the both parts:
part 1: TBA1, TBA2
part 2: TBA1, TBA2

Arviointimenetelmät ja arvioinnin perusteet

The final grade is based on the both exams. To pass the exam a student has to get at least 40% of the maximum points in each partial exam.

40 % -> grade 1
52.5 % -> grade 2
65 % -> grade 3
77.5 % -> grade 4
90 % -> grade 5

In addition, bonus points will be given from submitted homework based on the completion percentage:
Less than 30% done: no bonus points.
30%-50%: 1 bonus point.
50%-70%: 2 bonus points.
70%-90%: 3 bonus points.
Over 90% done: 4 bonus points.
The bonus points are only applied on the first attempts of both partial exam 1 and 2 (i.e. not on retry attempts), and the 40% to pass the partial exams must be reached without the bonus points.

Opiskelumuodot ja opetusmenetelmät

Lessons, exercises, self-study, videos, exercises, homework, exam.
A student solves exercises and saves them in TUNI Moodle by given deadlines.

Oppimateriaalit

All material, theory and exercises, can be found in the Moodle page. If necessary, a student can use math books he/she has used before and the Internet to search more information about the topics. A student can borrow books in a local library.

Opiskelijan ajankäyttö ja kuormitus

The course duties take approximately 135 hours and consist of
* online lectures held by the teacher (40-50 hours)
* independent working without the teacher (homework, studying the material)
* exam
