Objectives (course unit)

The student knows the basics of information security
The student is aware of the legal and regulatory guidelines for wired and wireless systems and understands the basic infrastructure of telecommunication systems.
The student is aware of the threats coming through the telecommunication network and is able to act in a correct way.

Content (course unit)

Security and secure use of data networks. Licensed and unlicensed frequency bands, free space loss. Mobile network structure (2-5G). The basics of cyber security.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2) (course unit)

Student
- knows what cyber threat means and has a basis for cybercrime protection
- Knows course topics

Assessment criteria, good (3-4) (course unit)

Student
- Is able to identify cyber threats and knows how to protect against them.
- Is able to apply the course topics covered in the course
- Has the ability to demonstrate their skills

Assessment criteria, excellent (5) (course unit)

Student
- Understands the factors of cybercrime
- can prepare for cyber threats and protect themselves and business from cyber threats.
- can independently and extensively apply the topics discussed in the course
- Has the ability to demonstrate their skills

Osan 1 Kirjallinen tentti alustavasti VK 41. (D1-04).

Osan 2
Tehtävien takaraja su 30.11. klo 23.59. Siihen mennessä palautetut tehtävät otetaan loppuarvioinnissa huomioon.
TENTTI to 02.12. klo 08.30-11.00 lk. A3-20.
UUSINTATENTIT 2 KPL tarvittaessa EXAM-tenttitilassa aikavälillä ma-to 08.-11.12.

Assessment methods and criteria

Opintojakson osat arvioidaan erikseen asteikolla 0-5. Molemmista osasta tulee saada hyväksytty suoritus (arvosana vähintään 1), ja opintojakson kokonaisarvosana määräytyy osien arvosanojen painotetusta keskiarvosta. Painotus perustuu osien laajuuteen (osa 1: 3 opintopistettä, osa 2: 2 opintopistettä).

Opintojakso on jaettu kahteen osaan:

- Osa 2: Kyberturvallisuus (Moodle)

Osa 1 Tullaan pitämään sekä lähiopetuksena että mahdollisesti etäopetuksena.

Opintojakson osassa 2 sovelletaan STEK ry:n luomaa kyberturvallisuuden oppimismateriaalia

Student workload

5 opintopistettä tarkoittaa 135 tuntia opiskelijan työtä.

Osan 1 Lähi/etä tunnit (7 x 4h/vk, sis tentti)

Osan 2 tunnit pvm ti 21.10., 28.10., 04.11., 11.11. ja 18.11. klo 08.30-11.45 lk. A3-20. (Jos opetuskerta on etänä, siitä ilmoitetaan erikseen Moodle-tiedotuskanavalta sähköposteihin.)
