Objectives (course unit)

The students can make a program for a programmable logic controller and to control the process by using it. They can also make electrical and pneumatic connections. The students are able to program a robot. Robot programming, relay connections, wiring diagrams. Building and testing a connection, programming programmable logic, controlling a machine or device with controllable logic, pneumatic connections.

The grading is based on the amount of reported assignments and their quality

0-3 reported assigments = grade 0
4 reported assigments = grade 1
5 reported assigments = grade 2
6 reported assigments = grade 3
7 reported assigments = grade 4

Good and professional reporting => +1 grade
Incomplete reporting => -1 grade

The student is able to program and deploy simple machine automation applications.

Assessment criteria - good (3-4) (Not in use, Look at the Assessment criteria above)

The student is capable of executing practical assignments required to grade 3-4. The student masters different machine automation domains (programmable logic controllers, sensor technology, actuator technology, communication technology, machine safety) with good level. The student is able to program and deploy typical machine automation applications.

Assessment criteria - excellent (5) (Not in use, Look at the Assessment criteria above)

The student is capable of executing practical assignments required to grade 5. The student masters different machine automation domains (programmable logic controllers, sensor technology, actuator technology, communication technology, machine safety) with excellent level.The student is able to program and deploy advanced machine automation applications and shows professionalism in reporting.
