Objectives (course unit)
The student masters the use of modern tools in the design and development tasks of mechanical products and understands the significance of the high-quality design. The student masters the 3D modeling, the creation of the product structure which is in accordance with the demands, the production of 2D drawings, data transfer between the systems, the creation of sheet metal parts, the modeling and use of mechanisms in virtual machine design.

3D modeling (parts, assemblies), production of drawings, data transfer between the systems, sheet metal parts, mechanisms, product structure, virtual machine design.

Student has basic skills to design machine components and can design with CAE (in 2D and 3D).

Harjoitustehtävät arvioidaan asteikolla 0-5. Kurssin arvosana muodostuu harjoitustehtävien keskiarvosta. Laajimmat tehtävät voidaan jakaa useampiin arviointiosiin.

Lähi- ja etäopetus. Ei läsnäolovelvoitetta, harjoitukset voi myös tehdä täysin itsenäisesti omalla tietokoneella.

Luennot/ohjatut harjoitukset 44 h, itsenäinen työskentely 91 h.
Content scheduling
Opetuskerrat on jaettu aihepiireittäin, alussa käydään teoria ja mahdolliset esimerkit läpi. Tämän jälkeen mahdollisuus jatkaa harjoitusten tekoa ja saada ohjausta (oma tietokone mukaan, mikäli opetuskerta ei ole CAD-luokassa).
