Osaamistavoitteet (Opintojakso)

The participants will understand various challenges in pursuing sustainability. They will gain an overview of how to understand, govern and lead complex change processes and understand factors that are leading transformation processes in the society. The participants have identified competences needed in sustainability leadership. They have made a self-evaluation of your personal competences as a leader in a circular economy project.

The student starts by completing a 2 credit course on Leadership and Sustainable Change on http://leadforsust.fi/ before the Video conferencing on ZOOM starting February 2021. ZOOM Meeting ID: 763 031 6699

Tenttien ja uusintatenttien ajankohdat

No Exam is required, rather a completed report of a case study of an existing project (completed or on-going) will serve as the final product of the course. The report should include elements of Leadership, Cultural analysis and Risk analysis.

Arviointimenetelmät ja arvioinnin perusteet

The evaluation will be based upon completeíng both parts of the course.
2 credits from http://leadforsust.fi/ and 3 credit report on an existing project.

Opiskelumuodot ja opetusmenetelmät

Introduction to the course will be done during the intensive days in January 2021. The course is divided into two parts. The first part Leadership for Sustainable Change to be completed here. link: http://leadforsust.fi/ (click "Begin Your Studies" in the upper part of the page), read the instructions on Moodle and enrol yourself to the course. University students should use the HAKA login.
Video conferencing, open discussions, brainstorming and experience sharing based on the materials studied on the Leadership course.
The second part is Intercultural Communication Competence in managing sustainable change. Here, video conferencing and written blogs discussions about cultural frameworks will be used. Students will have the opportunity to discuss their views on cultural encounters.

Materials for Leadership and Sustainable Change will be provided on http://leadforsust.fi/ while the materials for the Cultural Framework will be located on our learning platform (Moodle)

Opiskelijan ajankäyttö ja kuormitus

The student uses his/her time in reading, writing blogs, reports, and discussing in forums and during Video conferences.

The content is divided into two:
1. Leadership and Sustainable Change.
2. Cultural Frameworks.

The international aspect of this project could the case study choice and its related culture.

Arviointikriteerit - tyydyttävä (1-2) (Ei käytössä, kts Opintojakson Arviointikriteerit ylempänä)

The student has completed both parts of the course. The student completed the first part but did not play any significant role in the second part. Missed 80% of the Video conferencing, did not contribute enough to the forum/blog, and did not contribute enough to the final report (Supported evidence from group members).

Arviointikriteerit - hyvä (3-4) (Ei käytössä, kts Opintojakson Arviointikriteerit ylempänä)

The student has completed both parts of the course. The student completed the first part play a significant role in the second part. Participation is over 80% in Video conferencing, has contributed enough to the forum/blog and to the final report (Supported evidence from group members). The Final report is reliable and comprehensible, the student has proven language skills, and has proven and reliable sources (in-text references and list of references) well-written in accordance with TAMK's report guideline with negligible errors.

The Final report is reliable and comprehensible, the student has proven advanced language skills, and has proven and reliable sources (in-text references and list of references) well-written in accordance with TAMK's report guideline.
