Objectives (course unit)

The student knows the basics of typical small machine structures and the methods of joining these parts, materials, machine elements, components and their selection criteria. The student is able to work in a project and group work environment. The student understands the basics of machine and electrical safety. Students are able to report and present their work. The student is able to choose the right tools and methods assembling and dismantling equipment and joints.

Content (course unit)

Structures of typical small machines. Typical part joining methods, materials, machine elements for machine parts. Selection criteria for components. The basics of machine and electrical safety.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2) (course unit)

The student will be able to identify some structures, materials and components of small machines. The student understands the basics of machine safety.

Assessment criteria, good (3-4) (course unit)

The student recognizes a large part of the structures, materials and components of small machines and has also independently acquired some information about them. The student understands well the basics of machine safety.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5) (course unit)

Students are highly motivated, committed to taking responsibility for their own and group performance, and are able to systematically use feedback as a tool for professional growth. The student understands well the basics of machine safety and knows how to use this information in his / her own initiative.
