Objectives (course unit)
Students can make a project plan including:
- technical description
- work brake down structure
- network diagram
- schedule
- resource allocation
- cost calculations
- risk management plan
- control and follow up methods
Content (course unit)
Students plan the Formula Student project using project management methods and software.
Location and time
The course is carried out according to the timetable.
Exam schedules
The seminar will be held at a separately agreed time.
Evaluation methods and criteria
Evaluation is based on portfolio, learning diary and seminar, half on self-assessment and half on teacher evaluation.

Teaching methods
The course consists of theory lectures, group work and a presentation seminar.
Learning materials
TABULA contains material for theory teaching (to be opened by the beginning of the course).
Student workload
Time use consists of:
- theoretical lectures 9 h
- hours reported separately x h
- seminar presentations 3 h.
Including independent work 81 hours in total.
Content scheduling
At the beginning of the implementation, theory lectures will be given. After that, the project topics are presented to the groups. The groups select the appropriate topic and start working on the project plan for it. If necessary, get together to see how the work has progressed. Finally, a seminar will be held where the groups will present their project plan to their clients.

There is no other way to execute.

The implementation has no international connections.

Aims of the course:
The student is able to make a project plan which includes:
- technical specification
- partition
- block grid based on technical specification
- the timetable
- resourcing
- cost accounting
- the risk plan
- guidance and monitoring methods.
During implementation, the student keeps a learning diary, which is returned and evaluated.
2nd year students of Working Machine Engineering attend the seminar.

Project plan is not ready or it is useless.
Assessment criteria - satisfactory (1-2) (Not in use, Look at the Assessment criteria above)
The plan is done poorly and it is defective. Results are allmost useless. Working time is less than planned or divided unevenly between group members.

There is usefull aspects in the plan.The plan is comprehensive ja done in the right way. Working time is allmost as planned and pretty evenly divided between group members.

The plan is perfect. It is comprehensive and based on reporting instruction. Working time is as planned and it is divided evenly between group members.
