Lisätietoja opiskelijoille

The course is intended for 3rd year students who already passed the Public Administration and Participation course, or who have knowledge accordingly, and for exchange students, with an interest in gaining a general comprehensive understanding of environmental legislation and administration.

To pass the course a student is required to
1. attend min. 70% of contact teaching lectures
2. work as a group member making an environmental permit application, EIA –rehearsal of a case and presenting it for the rest of the group, opponing other groups
3. write a learning journal
4. return assignments (group work, learning journal and any other) BY DEADLINE into Tabula

The student has not participated contact lectures as required, done the group work or done the learning journal.

Arviointikriteerit - tyydyttävä (1-2) (Ei käytössä, kts Opintojakson Arviointikriteerit ylempänä)

The student has not returned the group work parts (env. permit application, report, presentation, opponing) or the learning journal by deadline.
The student knows the environmental regulation system. The student is able to produce a learning diary. The student knows some group work skills. The student has potential in learning to utilize the possibility for co-operation and collective learning by participating the lectures, workshops and group work. The student is able to utilise some of the chance to learn from experienced professionals and therefore to participate the visiting lecturer’s lectures on the course. The student understands the importance of getting prepared to the session topics by returning the given pretasks. The students is able to work according to instructions given but might have challenges on meeting the deadlines.

Arviointikriteerit - hyvä (3-4) (Ei käytössä, kts Opintojakson Arviointikriteerit ylempänä)

The student shows understanding of the environmental regulation systems and the student is able to apply some of the knowledge gained during the course when doing the assignments. The student is able to express thoughts and reflections in his/her learning diary. The student knows group work skills. The student is able to utilize the possibility for co-operation and collective learning by participating the lectures, workshops and group works. The student is able to utilise the chance to learn from experienced professionals and therefore to participate the visiting lecturer’s lectures on the course. The student understands the importance of getting prepared to the session topics by returning the given pretasks. The students is able to work according to instructions given and by meeting the deadlines.

The student is able to actively utilise the chance to learn from experienced professionals and therefore to participate the visiting lecturer’s lectures on the course and to apply the knowledge gained. The student understands the importance of getting prepared to the session topics by returning the given pretasks. The students is able to work according to instructions given and by meeting the deadlines.
