After completing this course student:
- knows the characteristics of different natural and industrial emissions to air, water and soil
- knows the dispersion and deposition processes of emissions
- knows the modelling systems of environmental pollution

Evaluation is based on exercises, modeling work, exams and seminar.
Weighting of different parts:
Exercises 1 (noise) 5p (10%)
Basic modelling exercise (Noise) 10p (20%)
Exercises 2 (Air pollution) 5p (10%)
Basic modelling exercise (Air pollution) 10p (20%)
Seminar presentations and poster 5p (10%)
Exam 15p (30%)
Total max 50p
The points from the exam have to be min 5p.
Total number of points has to be min 20p.
Total 20 - 25p --> Grade 1
26 - 32p--> Grade 2
33 - 38p--> Grade 3
39 - 44p--> Grdade 4
45 - 50p--> Grade 5

Knowledge of the most essential phenomena and related quantities and units in the field. Capability to analyse qualitatively and quantitatively simple cases related phenomena similar to discussed examples, when supported.
Exercises and and modellings have been done partly. Results have been reported and presented in the seminar.
Structure and analyses can have shortages and can be be partly erroneous.

In addition capability to apply the modelling principles to new situations. Fluent usage of the terminology for justified qualitative and quantitative analysis of the phenomena.
Reports done in a normal way. Results and analysis correct. Brief comments done.

In addition excellent, versatile ability to analyse phenomena qualitatively and quantitaively with a realistic knowledge of the limitations related to theories in use.
Reports done with comprehensive, active, collaborative working. Results are correct. Structured, fluent, especially transparent text, vision of limitations and improvements, broad mature discussion and own conclusions related to the topics.
