Objectives (course unit)

Students
- know the bases and trends of evidence-based acute nursing
- use evidence-based knowledge in different operating environments of acute nursing
- promote introduction of evidence-based knowledge in their organisation

Content (course unit)

- development process of evidence-based practice: planning, implementation and assessment

Erillinen tehtävän ohje annetaan kurssin alussa. Tiimit muodostetaan ensimmäisellä kerralla.

Luento-opetus, käänteinen oppimismenetelmä, seminaarityöskentely, tiiimityö ja vertaisarviointi. Itsenäinen työskentely.

Know the basics of evidence-based activity in acute care nursing
Is able to utilize evidence-based information partly in acute care.

Assessment criteria - good (3-4) (Not in use, Look at the Assessment criteria above)

- be able to apply and evaluate the basics and implementation models of evidence-based activities in the development of the social and health sector
- is able to establish as member of a team of experts on evidence-based practices in the field of social and health care professional activity
- is able to support and guide the development of evidence-based activities
- knows the process of writing up a recommendation for evidence based practice
- is able to use the evidence in its own work as part of the team.

- is able to apply and critically evaluate the basics and implementation models of evidence-based activities in the development of the social and health sector at the individual and community levels
