Objectives (course unit)

The student
- knows the significance of gynaecological treatments and operations for women’s body image, and can support women in problems related to body image changes in a culturally sensitive way
- deepens her/his knowledge of health risks of women at different stages of life and how to prevent them
- is able to plan, implement, and evaluate gynaecological nursing
- can recognize, bring up, and guide women in the changes during their lifespan and in sexual problems
- is able to act as an expert in sexual health

- gynaecological diseases and midwifery
- infertility problems and midwifery
- problems in early pregnancy
- guidance of contraception
- effects of different gynaecological diseases and trauma on sexuality
