To develop a full-length script text to required creative and industry standards. To work strategically, critically and creatively in collaboration with a professional mentor through the progressive script development stages.
At the end of the module students will be able to apply critical analysis and evaluation to the progressive development of a script text. Apply effective communication strategies in working in collaboration with a professional mentor. Understand and apply industry standard script development
criteria and methodologies. Develop a script project with appropriate understanding and consideration of the context of the international film markets. Work independently and strategically, to solve problems and deal with complex issues.

Sisältö (Opintojakso)

The MA Film Project involves the structured and supervised development of a full length film script text (minimum length will be 90 minutes). A learning agreement with the student with determine the nature of their own script development process. The Assessment takes the form of a portfolio of work undertaken over the script development process. The script will be to third draft stage. Accompanying documents will include a self analysis paper and research journal. Students will have regular one-to one tutorials with tutors and professional mentors at each step of the script developmental process. There will also be workshops at each stage of the script development process in order for students to analyse and discuss their and other student’s projects.

Following on from modules Forms and genres in film , Storytelling and the Moving Image: The Short Film, Storytelling and the Moving Image: The Feature Film
